Intensive Session- The Deep Processing

With Brainspotting therapy, we’ll find the right ‘Brainspots” in your visual field, guiding us into the neocortex of the brain and body processing. This allows us to gently and intuitively process and release the parts that you want to release, allowing your brain’s natural ability to grow and heal. We'll discover the different types of coping strategies that work best for you. Depending on your unique and personal goals, we might process your past, your present, or even your future worries.

60-90 minute Pre-Intensive Assessment Session

Before we jump in, we’ll start with establishing our goals for our time together. We'll discuss what's stressors are going on in your life right now—circumstances, relationships, and challenges—and where you're looking for some relief. We target where you want to grow and move forward.

Follow up Integration

  • Participating in a 2-3-day Intensive may create impactful change more efficiently than just weekly, 50-minute sessions or even one half-day intensive.

    During your initial consultation and assessment, we will work together to determine the right fit for you.

    Intensive sessions are similar to going on a personal retreat. They’re memorable, impactful, and highly transformative.

    It’s recommended that you fill the time with space that’s unscheduled, unhurried, and catered towards taking care of yourself: movement, nature, being around trusted friends or pets, music, and creative expression.

  • Traditional therapy requires time and energy week after week. You might have noticed that your concern continues to linger. Intensives are for you if:

    • If you've been in talk therapy before but aren't sure why you haven't gotten the level of change you’ve been wanting, intensives would be a good fit.

    • You're looking for a deeper type of therapy that can bring quick changes in your life.

    • You're still affected by painful experiences from your past.

    • You have some time off and want to use it for mental wellness.

    • You've tried Brainspotting or EMDR before and found it helpful.

    • You're preparing for a big life event, performance, or transition and want to be ready.

    • You go to therapy regularly but feel stuck and think an Intensive might help.

    This structure is designed for those who want streamlined relief in 1-3 days, giving you back more of your peace, relief, and time in the long run.

  • Talk therapy sessions are primarily online.

    Intensives can be scheduled online or in-person.

    Please note I can only work with you if you are in the state of California or Nevada.

    My offices are located in Truckee, CA and Reno-Sparks, NV. There are many options for accommodations and dining if you are coming from out of town.

    *Retreat style options will also available later this year for me to come out and meet you where you are.

  • Yes, I currently accept these insurances: Kaiser Norcal, Aetna, Optum, United Healthcare, UMR.

    For all other insurances, you may have out-of-network benefits, which means that insurance will reimburse you for a portion of our session cost. I have partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you.

    With Thrizer, you will only have to pay a copay for our sessions post-deductible, instead of paying my full fee and waiting for reimbursements. This typically allows clients to save on average 70% upfront on our sessions.

    During our intake process, I can help you verify if you have out-of-network benefits and how much your co-insurance would be.

    Note: Thrizer's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as a therapist, we do not benefit in any way from your participation. It just gives you more options so that you can get the right care.


  • Although Intensive sessions are not covered by insurance, a potion of the package can be reimursed.

    Many insurance companies (typically PPOs) reimburse a portion of the cost of psychotherapy.

    It's best to determine the exact details of your policy ahead of time, including what benefits are available regarding out-of-network providers and if your insurance will reimburse several hours of therapy in one day or one week.

    I will work with you to provide you with a Superbill for covered services that are included in the program.

    Please know that the insurance company requires a diagnosis code when submitting claims.

    I recommend calling the customer service number on the back of your insurance card in order to get details about your specific plan.
