Yes! I take Kaiser NorCal, Aetna, United Healthcare, UMR. and Optum.
I offer superbills for those that I am not in network with.
I have partnered with Thrizer to help clients save money on therapy (learn more here). During a consultation call, we can help you figure out your out-of-network benefits and see if you qualify for reimbursement for services (often 50-80%).
If you qualify, Thrizer will file the claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. They have helped people get thousands of dollars back per year.
Note: Thrizer's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as a therapist, we do not benefit in any way from your participation.
Please speak with your insurance provider about your out-of-network benefits to learn more about your plan’s personal benefits.

The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Study is one of the largest and most influential public health studies ever conducted. It found a direct link between early childhood trauma and lifelong physical and mental health outcomes. What are Adverse Childhood Experiences? They include things like:
Emotional or physical neglect
Witnessing domestic violence
Living in poverty or with someone with mental illness or addiction
Experiencing racism, discrimination, or historical trauma
The more ACEs a person has, the higher their risk for increased negative outcomes:
Chronic illnesses (heart disease, diabetes, cancer autoimmune conditions)
Mental health struggles (depression, anxiety, addiction, suicide)
Early death — by up to 20 years
Increased Physical Injury
Difficulty in relationships, affecting overall happiness and fulfillment
Maternal Health-Fetal Death, Unintended Pregnancy, Complications
Missed Opportunities- Education, Career, Income
But here’s the key- Early trauma doesn’t have to predict your future—therapy is one of the few proven interventions that can reverse or reduce these long-term effects.
-
If you're hesitating to spend $200–$700 on therapy, it’s worth comparing that to the hidden costs of untreated trauma:
Lost of productivity or burnout at work
Preventable Conflict in relationships.
Missed opportunities in work, relationships, enjoyment due to fear, burnout, or low self-worth
Unhelpful coping strategies (alcohol, food, tech, over-spending, hours lost scrolling, overthinking, worrying with no solution)
Medical bills and prolonged discomforts from stress-related illness (hypertension, panic attacks, sleeping problems, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, digestive issues, etc.)
Therapy is preventative care. You're not just paying to feel better now—you're investing in fewer health costs, better decisions, stronger relationships, and a longer, healthier life.

It makes complete sense that spending more—especially on something intangible like therapy—might feel wrong or bring up an immediate reaction. That’s valid. When generations before us had to stretch every dollar or were denied access to resources, learning to ‘make it work’ became an act of survival wisdom. But you’re here because you realize that investing in therapy isn’t just about you. It’s about your relationships, your work, your interactions with your children, your future.
When you invest in the right type of therapy that fit’s your needs, you’re interrupting deep generational cycles of pain- the struggles that cost us our energy, our sleep, conflicts that didn’t need to happen, even affecting our own self worth. Healing finally allows for us to release old wounds and move on. You can honor the part of you that knows how to survive andalso take steps toward a new kind of future. You don’t have to choose between being responsible and being cared for. You deserve both.
Today, we are much more resourceful and abundant in the options that lay ahead. Maybe creating a budget, utilizing an HSA or FSA, or creating a plan would be the first step towards really prioritizing your healthcare needs. Just like in the way you would plan for a trip in the months ahead, set goals and dreams for an educational advancement, or structure ways to pay for a car or computer, these investments should be treated intentionally and with care. After all, it’s a commitment towards your overall quality of life.
"The most common way people give up their power
is by thinking they don't have any."
- Alice Walker
Let’s reclaim that part of you who yearns to get unstuck.
